The hotel we reserved for our stay in Memphis,
is now named a prime spot in several Elvis
Week announcements. Heres what others say about
the hotel: The Sleep Inn At Court Square is
directly in front of a beautiful park - Court
Square, and is on the main Trolley line that
goes north and south through the city and down
by the river. Its also 2 blocks up from Mud
Island and the Mississippi River, and it is very
near many other attractions including Elvis'
Lauderdale Courts Apartments and Popular Tunes
records where Elvis spent much time as a youth,
the Tennessee Welcome Centre with the huge Elvis
Statue, and just a few blocks up from Beale St
and the Fed Ex Forum which is hosting Elvis The
Concert, and the Peabody Hotel and Peabody
Complex indoor shopping centre. It is also just
a few blocks down the trolley line from the Cook
Convention Centre which is hosting the Elvis
Insiders Conference and the Elvis Expo 2007
Merchandise and Memorabilia show. Needless to
say, it is in a prime spot. (photo)
O by the way, the hotel we booked in Las Vegas
is the Aladdin/Hollywood hotel, where Elvis and
Priscilla married 40 years ago. The revamped
hotel is generally considered one of the most
luxurious on the Vegas Strip.
