POLICE appealed to Elvis fans today in a bid to reunite a haul of stolen memorabilia with its owner.
A gold Elvis record and a signed picture of the "King" were among the rare items discovered by detectives during a house search in Edinburgh city centre.
Framed show bills were also found in the raid, along with a copy of the lyrics to Don McLean's hit American Pie, thought to have been written by the singer himself.
It is not known how much the memorabilia is worth.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: "These value of the items is not known, but they look genuine and if they have been stolen then we hope that the original owner will recognise them and contact us."
