The expo
Friedberg The Army Home of Elvis Presley is
open for the public until mid-September.
Highlights of the tour in the former Ray
Barracks, are pictures and posters depicting the
life at the army base in the late 50ies.
Original items, such as metal plates and cups
from the kitchen and a signed album (by Ed
Sullivan) and even the mailmans uniform of Mr.
Kssler (who delivered the fan mail to Elvis)
add a special touch to the expo. Also, the walk
through the army base was an experience, though
we couldn't help noticing that the Barracks are
in a very shabby condition.
The expo itself, costs you 4 euro. Below is a
link to a slide show.
