In
commemoration to Elvis Presley on the 30th
anniversary of his death and
in conjunction with the official opening of 'The
Riverwalk Art Gallery' in Arklow, Co. Wicklow,
the former Miss Ireland, model and actress, now
artist and academic, Nuala Holloway will be
unveiling a set of special pencil drawings of
'The King'', on August 9th. The drawings cover 4
different stages of Elvis's life and will be
each available as prints, limited to 500.
The Riverwalk Gallery will be officially opened
on Thursday, August 9th at 7.30pm. Nuala hit the
headlines in the 1970's as Ireland's first rural
born risque model with 'The Sunday World'. A
liberation in Irish popular culture, spurred on
by Elvis Presley's daring and controversial
arrival in the
1950's.
